The Western and Midwestern Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (WAMOPA) is an organization of both practitioners,residents, technicians, and suppliers that are dedicated to the enhancement and advancement of the Prosthetic and Orthotic industry. We are a non-profit organization that provides high quality and cost effective education for business owners, Prosthetic and Orthotic practitioners, prosthetic and orthotic techs, and pedorthists in the health care industry. This is primarily done through our yearly conference in late spring.
For 2012 we are excited to once again be at the Peppermill Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. We all feel the change to the Peppermill in 2011 was a positive step in making this meeting bigger and better than ever. We are looking forward to once again exploring this wonderful place and providing our attendees with a centrally located, cost effective venue, for continuing education. We are also working closely with all vendors to show off the latest and greatest products in the P & O world!
The 2012 Western and Midwestern Orthotic and Prosthetic Association annual meeting will be held May 17-19th at The Peppermill Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The three day program will be featuring CEU accredited (24 credits approved!) Professional programs for ABC, BOC, and C.PED attendees presenting new products and new patient care procedures.
The two day accredited (16 credits approved)Technician Program on Friday and Saturday addresses current and new cutting edge fabrication techniques.
As always, the Don Colwell Memorial Golf Tournament will be on Thursday Morning at Red Hawk Golf Course. The golf awards banquet will be hosted at the luncheon on Saturday in the exhibit area. This is always a fun time to meet and greet your colleagues and acknowledge the extreme luck of our winners! This luncheon will also provide a time to find out what is going with the WAMOPA organization and where we are headed in the future.
The nearly two hundred practitioners and technicians attending the meeting along with over fifty exhibitors will include people from over twenty states in the U.S..
